Every stat is a checkable fact about the actual book, not a designer's mood. Bars are drawn against the highest value any book reaches.
Why these numbers
The game's own explanation, as a reader sees it in the backpack.
A handbook rather than a masterpiece — written to give an ordinary church something to hold on to, which is a gentler job than winning a council.
Read mostly by people hunting for what Epiphanius says about somebody else. It rarely speaks first.
Cited for this book
Epiphanius wrote it for a church in Pamphylia that had asked for something to anchor them — hence the title. He fences the Spirit by ruling out every family relation anyone might reach for, and the list is funny on purpose: a joke is a fine way to make a congregation remember where a line is.
Moves learned
By levelling up. A book that develops keeps what it knew and learns the rest on its new schedule.
