A Dominican who ran Florence for four years, burned the city’s vanities in the square, was excommunicated, and was hanged and burned there himself in 1498. This is the book he wrote in the middle of all that, and it is not about any of it: it is a plain three-part argument that the Christian faith is true — what reason can reach, what it cannot, and why the second part is credible anyway.
