Denney taught in Glasgow alongside Orr and made the argument a method critique cannot make on its own. Whatever is decided about the sources, the death is in all of them, and so are men who watched it and then went out to die saying it had bought them something. An account that explains the documents and cannot explain that has explained the smaller thing.
